Texana Center Shutting Down Its 14 Houston-Area I/DD Group Homes
Texana Center, a Houston-area provider organization, is shutting down its 14 group homes for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and laying off more than 100 workers. The closures are planned through 2025. Approximately 50 clients will be affected. Information is not available regarding any assistance Texana Center may offer those it serves regarding alternative living arrangements.;
