Texana Center Shuttering Its 14 Houston-Area I/DD Group Homes
Texana Center, a Houston-area provider organization, is shuttering its 14 group homes for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and laying off more than 100 workers. The closures are planned through 2025. Approximately 50 indiciduals will be affected. Information is not available regarding plans to assist those the organization serves regarding alternative living arrangements.
