BlueCross BlueShield Of Tennessee Winding Down Shared Health Subsidiary, With Dual Eligible Plans In Mississippi & Texas
Health insurer BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is winding down operations of its Shared Health subsidiary, which sells Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) in other states to people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Shared Health has roughly 5,500 members in Mississippi and Texas. BlueCross Blue Shield of Tennessee said it no longer sees a “sustainable” path forward for this line of business. This decision does not affect health coverage for members with a BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee plan.;
