Montana Invests $2.5 Million In Tribe & Rural County Behavioral Health Services
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) awarded $2.5 million for its Local Innovations in Behavioral Health Pilot Grant Program to 10 recipients across the state to support rural counties and tribes. The goal is to help these entities design and implement targeted, locally developed initiatives to support behavioral health needs within their communities.;
The grant program provides up to $250,000 over the next two years to the Chippewa Cree Tribe and the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and to eight counties: Teton, Dawson, Pondera, Beaverhead, Jefferson, Richland, Garfield, and Fallon.;
