Brown University Launches AI Research Institute With $20 Million National Science Foundation Grant
With a $20 million grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation, Brown University researchers plan to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) research institute aimed at developing a new generation of AI assistants capable of trustworthy, sensitive, and context-aware interactions with people. The AI Research Institute on Interaction for AI Assistants (ARIA) intends to develop AI assistants for use in the mental and behavioral health fields.
