University Of Houston Joins $21.2 Million Statewide Effort To Fight Opioid Crisis

A $250,000 grant (the maximum individual grant award) from the Texas Opioid Abatement Fund Council (OAFC) to investigate HIV and opioid use disorder in Harris County, which includes the city of Houston, Texas, has been awarded for research at the University of Houston (UH). The grant is part of a $21.2 million effort across Texas fighting this public health emergency.
