East Alabama Health Celebrates Grand Opening Of $44 Million Mental Health Facility

East Alabama Health celebrated the grand opening of its new mental health facility, East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) North, on December 17, 2025. Located within East Alabama Health’s North Campus, the new facility will expand access to inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for adults and youth in response to a statewide growing need. The new facility expands EAMC North’s inpatient psychiatry beds from 28 to 40.
