Volunteers Of America Eastern Washington Opens Low-Income Housing Dedicated To Veterans In Spokane

Volunteers of America Eastern Washington recently opened a 12-unit low-income apartment development dedicated to low-income veterans in the Hillyard neighborhood of Spokane. More than 100 veterans were experiencing some form of homelessness locally during the 2025 point-in-time count in January 2025.

The 12 one-bedroom units are spread across three buildings, with a small office building housing laundry and storage space. Supports such as services related to behavioral health and substance use will be available.
