Brown University Team To Co-Lead $12 Million Study Of Substance Use In New England
Brown University announced a research effort to better understand trends in drug use and barriers to health care services in New England. The study is funded by a National Institute on Drug Abuse grant, which will provide approximately $12 million in funding over five years.
The researchers will evaluate how people who use drugs in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont are affected by new state programs to prevent HIV, hepatitis C (HCV) and overdose.
