New York Announces $20 Million For Development Of Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is offering up to $20 million in capital funds for development of Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs (CPEPs). The funds can go toward developing new programs or improving existing ones. This may include adding capacity to serve children, expanding the number of extended observation beds (EOB), or improving safety of the unit. New CPEPs will also be eligible for start-up funds of $3 million.
