U.S. Withdraws From The World Health Organization
The United States officially withdrew from the World Health Organization (WHO) on January 22, 2026. The Trump administration had signaled its intent to withdraw in an executive order issued on January 20, 2025. With this withdrawal, the United States has ceased its funding for and staffing of WHO initiatives.
