The complaint was filed on January 23, 2026, by nine states (led by Texas, and joined by Alaska, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, and South Dakota) to challenge the May 2024 final rule on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
