Florida State University’s Stoops CFC Center Awarded Federal Grant To Expand Behavioral Health Workforce In Florida’s Panhandle
Florida State University’s Stoops Center for Communities, Families, and Children (Stoops CFC), housed in the College of Social Work, announced it was awarded a $2 million multiyear federal grant to fund a Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Training program aimed at expanding access to early intervention services in Florida’s Panhandle region. Additional goals include building a sustainable workforce pipeline, strengthening community well-being and employment opportunities in Leon County and surrounding areas.
The Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Training Level 1 and Level 2 Program includes $1 million to fund stipends for apprenticeships, ensuring participants are compensated while gaining field-based experience . . .
