Allen Family Philanthropies Funds Seattle Pilot To Address Social Disconnection
Allen Family Philanthropies has awarded a $250,000 grant to support the Seattle chapter of the U.S. Chamber of Connection, funding a pilot program aimed at addressing social disconnection through structured community engagement. The investment will support the first year of a local initiative to advance connection as a measurable civic priority.
The program is based on the Chamber of Connection’s “Six Points of Connection,” a research-based framework for strengthening social bonds through neighborhood interaction, shared activities, use of community space, and civic engagement.
