Nevada County, California Breaks Ground On New 16-Bed Psychiatric Treatment Center
Nevada County, California broke ground on a new 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, the Deer Creek Behavioral Health Center, to serve individuals with acute mental health needs. The facility will be located on the Nevada County Government Center campus in Nevada City and is expected to open in late fall 2027.
The center will provide inpatient psychiatric services that are not currently available within the county, primarily serving individuals enrolled in Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid program.
Nevada County selected Crestwood Behavioral Health to operate the facility. Crestwood operates 32 behavioral health campuses across California.
