H.R. 7148 – Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026

On February 3, 2026, the 119th U.S. Congress passed House Resolution (H.R.) 7148: the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 (becoming Public Law 119–75). Among other things, this law directs that amounts made available for 988 Lifeline funding be used for the purposes described in its accompanying explanatory statement, and increased the 988 hotline’s overall funding by $15 million.
