With Fewer Youth & Under Tight Scrutiny, Minnesota’s Nexus East Bethel Family Healing Psychiatric Facility Allowed To Stay Open

Facing an immediate shutdown, the Nexus East Bethel Family Healing youth residential psychiatric facility outside Minneapolis reached an agreement with the state to remain open. The facility was on the verge of closure for placing youth at "imminent risk of harm." All youth previously placed at the facility have been moved to new locations.

Under a settlement with the Department of Human Services (DHS), Nexus East Bethel Family Healing must reduce its operations and submit to stricter oversight.
