The Federal Elder Justice Action Plan Introduced To Improve The Safety & Financial Security Of Older Adults
The Administration of Community Living (ACL) is working to ensure older Americans can live with dignity, independence, and well-being, while coordinating a federal effort to address abuse, neglect, exploitation, and threats to their health, safety, and security. To this end, ACL introduced the federal Elder Justic Action plan.
Current elder justice efforts include upholding the rights of older adults, equipping individuals and communities with tools to identify and respond to risks, reducing fraud and neglect, improving reporting pathways, and strengthening coordination across all levels of government.
