Mary Lou Klemencic, RHIT, brings more than 38 years of progressive experience in health information management, spanning the full evolution from paper-based records to enterprise electronic health records, with deep expertise in compliance, privacy, and health information governance. Ms. Klemencic is recognized for her leadership in building integrated compliance and quality infrastructure, including the development of audit and monitoring systems, implementation of documentation standards, and execution of organization-wide process improvement initiatives.

Ms. Klemencic continues to advance organizational excellence through strategic compliance leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement, positioning Gateway Rehab as a high-performing, accredited provider of behavioral health services.

Michael W. Johnson, M.A., C.A.P.

Senior Managing Director, Behavioral Health, CARF International

Michael has more than 40 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field.  He began his career in in behavioral health as a tech on a psychiatric inpatient unit in 1981, and since that time has worked in a variety of clinical, management, and C-level roles in both mental health and substance abuse agencies.  He has been a leader in the industry, providing expertise to national and state initiatives in quality, ethics, training, accreditation, and EMR adoption. 

Michael is passionate about the use of data and technology in our industry, and is a tireless advocate for increasing performance in behavioral health.  He possesses a Master of Arts degree in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Central Florida, and is a Certified Addictions Professional in the state of Florida.  Michael also is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Cory Valentine

Vice President, Sales, Sigmund Software

Cory Valentine joined the Sigmund team in 2006 as Director of Client Development. Prior to joining Sigmund, Mr. Valentine spent 6 years as a Behavioral Healthcare Administrator and Clinician in both Sub-Acute and Post-Acute Residential settings. Mr. Valentine’s Clinical background ranged from treating a chronic mentally ill population to addiction and dual diagnosis. Administratively, Mr. Valentine has experience managing a 65 bed Residential Treatment Center specializing in co-occurring disorders. His responsibilities ranged from Staff Management to Staff Training and Behavioral Modification Planning, as well as ensuring the highest quality of care coordination between Direct Care professionals and the Clinical/Medical Team.

Mr. Valentine’s background and passion in behavioral health has been paramount in both understanding organizational requirements and articulating Sigmund’s proposed product offerings. Mr. Valentine is responsible for the day to day oversight of Sigmund’s Sales Team and Marketing efforts. Mr. Valentine provides active leadership in relationship management, sales strategy, third party partnerships and public relations.
