Community Healthlink Layoffs Climb To 231 As Central Massachusetts Behavioral Health Transition Deepens
The number of jobs expected to be eliminated as Community Healthlink winds down operations has risen to 231, reflecting the scale of a transition affecting one of Central Massachusetts' largest behavioral health provider organizations.
A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing submitted in mid-July 2026 by UMass Memorial Health and Community Healthlink increased the projected layoffs by 104 positions, bringing the total to 231, including 158 union and 73 nonunion positions. Layoffs are scheduled to occur by September 16, 2026.
