Common Ties Mental Health Services Merges With Sweetser To Strengthen Behavioral Health In Lewiston, Maine

Common Ties Mental Health Services, which has served the Lewiston, Maine community for more than 40 years, is merging into Sweetser, a statewide behavioral health organization with a nearly 200-year history. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The merger makes Sweetser the largest Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) provider organization in the state and is intended to provide continued access to care in the Lewiston region amid rising operational costs and funding uncertainty for smaller organizations.
