Vaya Health & Partners Health Management To Form Vaya Partners, North Carolina’s Largest LME/MCO
Vaya Health and Partners Health Management, both North Carolina organizations that manage regional public behavioral health services, plan to consolidate, effective October 1, 2026. After the consolidation they will function as Vaya Partners.
North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Secretary Devdutta Sangvai approved the consolidation in May 2026. Both organizations are Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs), which manage public (Medicaid, state, and local) specialty behavioral health benefits for individuals with mental health conditions, addiction disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
