Orchard Park Hospital Signs Letter Of Intent To Merge With Wheeling Hospital

Orchard Park Hospital (OPH), a 30-bed inpatient pediatric psychiatric hospital in Wheeling, signed a letter of intent to merge with WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Opened in 2023, OPH provides inpatient mental health services for children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 from West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The facility includes a 13-bed Child Unit, a 13-bed Adolescent Unit, a four-bed Special Care Unit, a gymnasium, and an outdoor area.

As part of the merger, Wheeling Hospital will work with WVU Medicine Golisano Children's and the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute . . .
