Melinda Schriver brings over 20 years of experience in health care strategy, operations, technology, and service development to the OPEN MINDSÂ team, with leadership experience spanning provider, payer, digital health, post-acute, aging-services, and human services organizations.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Schriver founded and served as CEO of nHome, an aging-in-place consulting practice helping older adults and their families assess health, functional, home, technology, caregiver, and community-support needs and develop practical strategies to support safe and sustainable aging at home. The practice incorporated digital health and aging-in-place technologies as potential supports for independence, safety, health monitoring, and family caregiving.
Previously, Ms. Schriver served as a Principal Program Manager with Amazon, where she developed a unified planning architecture for the company’s approximately $10 billion devices business, coordinating planning and dependencies across 18 business units and functions including engineering, forecasting, data science, sales, marketing, finance, and product. While at Amazon, her concept for a technology-enabled aging-in-place service was selected as a winning entry in the Amazon Devices Big Ideas Competition.
Ms. Schriver also held Director and Senior Director health care leadership roles with Carilion Clinic, UPMC Health Plan/UPMC and Reid Health, where she led the development, implementation, and growth of virtual care, remote patient monitoring, care-transition, and other technology-enabled health services.
Ms. Schriver holds a Master of Health Administration and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from American University. She is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
