Ohio Executive Order 2026-03D Moving Oversight Of Recovery Homes To The Department Of Behavioral Health

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued emergency rules on August 10, 2026, to move oversight of recovery housing certification to the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). Previously, the state contracted with Ohio Recovery Housing and Oxford House, Inc., to accredit recovery housing. The emergency rules direct DBH to implement a centralized, state-administered certification program.
