North Dakota Receives $6 Million Federal Grant To Expand Children’s Behavioral Health Services

The North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) has received a $6 million federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to expand community-based behavioral health services for children, youth, and families in the Minot and Jamestown regions of North Dakota.

The new funding was awarded through SAMHSA's Children's Mental Health Initiative (CMHI). With this funding, the state intends to support regional systems of care for children, adolescents, and young adults from birth through age 21 who are at risk for or have a serious emotional disturbance (SED), as well as their families . . .
