Meta Awards Grants To Disability Groups To Test AI Glasses
Meta announced the recipients of its AI Glasses Impact Grants, which will provide funding to 30 organizations across the United States using artificial intelligence (AI) glasses to address challenges in their communities and industries.
The program, launched in January, provides nearly $2 million through two types of grants. Accelerator Grants support organizations scaling established uses of AI glasses. Catalyst Grants support developers building applications through Meta's Device Access Toolkit. Recipients were selected based on demonstrated impact, scalability, and relevance to areas including accessibility, workforce safety, education, agriculture, and economic opportunity. Meta received nearly 500 applications.
