HHS Announces New Peer Support Prevention Services To Strengthen Families & Reduce Risk Of Entering Foster Care

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), has added two peer support programs with a Supported rating to the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. The new programs, Family-Based Recovery and Wellness Recovery Action Plan, are intended to help at-risk families reduce the likelihood of involvement with the child welfare system and foster care placement. States can claim federal reimbursement for providing prevention services with a Supported rating in the clearinghouse.
