Medicaid reimbursement for applied behavior analysis (ABA) is moving in very different directions across the states. And states are getting new federal guidance as they make those decisions. On August 4, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a new toolkit to help state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) agencies make decisions about the provision and management of ABA services for beneficiaries with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
