Ford, MacArthur & Robert Wood Johnson Foundations Announce First-Of-Its-Kind Credit Union For People With Disabilities
The Ford Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) announced joint funding to establish a credit union serving people with disabilities. Artichoke Credit Union is a sub-brand created in partnership with Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU). It is intended to reflect the needs and experiences of people with disabilities and support their access to financial services.
Artichoke Credit Union is intended to serve people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, advocates, and supporting organizations nationwide. It is expected to begin accepting member sign-ups in early 2027.
