Transcend Public Benefit Corporation Launches $20 Million Philanthropic Initiative For Research Of & Access To Psychedelic Mental Health Care

Transcend Public Benefit Corporation plans to direct approximately $20 million over the next year to nonprofit organizations working to expand access to mental health treatment, develop infrastructure, and conduct research related to psychedelic therapeutics.

The initiative follows Transcend Therapeutics’ research and development of rapid-acting treatments for mental health disorders and the company’s recent acquisition. The founders plan to direct a portion of the proceeds toward organizations working in the field.

Funding priorities include support for survivors of sexual trauma, people affected by substance use and addiction, end-of-life care, depression, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other . . .
