Child Welfare: FY2013 Budget Request Of The President And FY2013 Funding
In June 2013, the Congressional Research Service (CRS) released a report on federal child welfare funding. The report includes an overview of the purposes for which federal child welfare funds are appropriated; discusses fiscal year (FY) 2013 appropriations for those programs, including the effect of the automatic spending cuts known as sequestration. Additionally, it reviews the President's FY2013 budget request for child welfare programs. The report does not address the President's FY2014 budget request for child welfare.
