C3. Competency Assessment Instrument Measures: Providing Care To People With Severe And Persistent Mental Illness

In December 2013, the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) released nine core measures for assessing the quality of behavioral health care services integrated into primary care. The measures were developed and validated for use in various quality-of-care applications. Core measures align closely with the Integration Framework. The third measure is C3. Competency Assessment Instrument Measures: Providing Care To People With Severe And Persistent Mental Illness. It was designed to measure coordinated care in general and can be adapted to measure integrated care.
