Editor's note: The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released estimates of the effect on the prevalence of employer-sponsored health coverage. GAO looked at five studies that used microsimulation (using computer modeling to analyze the effects of proposed interventions before they are implemented in the real world) to estimate the effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) on employer-sponsored health coverage.
