Ohio Governor Kasich Recognized By Behavioral Health Advocates For Medicaid Advance
Government John Kasich's push to expand Medicaid didn't win him many friends in the conservative wing of the Republican Party, but the National Council for Behavioral Health has recognized him with an advocacy award. The council gave its annual "Elected Official in Advocacy" award to Kasich for pushing to expand Medicaid eligibility to help an estimated 60,000 people with addiction disorders and 55,000 with mental illnesses.
