OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry Statistic Inpatient and outpatient behavioral health utilization varies widely by geographic area in traditional indemnity (non-managed) health benefit plans, according to a new OPEN MINDS study. An analysis of adjustments for demographic factors, such as age of beneficiaries, didn’t account for the dramatic differences noted between the geographic areas.
