OPEN MINDS, The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News On July 17, 1998, the Louisiana Department of Social Services/Office of Community Services (LDSS/OCS) released a request for proposals (RFP) seeking local, non-profit and for- profit providers to initiate and establish resource centers for families receiving child welfare services through LDSS/OCS. Proposals were due August 21, 1998 and LDSS/OCS expects to announce the winning contractors on September 11, 1998. It is anticipated that successful contractors will begin service provision on October 1, 1998 for a contract term of 36 months, ending September 30 . . .
