Audit Of New Jersey Department of Children and Families Division of Child Protection and Permanency Contracted Foster Care and Related Services

The audit was conducted by the New Jersey Office of the State Auditor. The auditor sampled financial transactions to determine whether the program expenses were reasonable and recorded properly in the state accounting system. The auditor also sought to determine whether the Department of Children and Families provided adequate fiscal monitoring of its 20 foster care provider organization contracts, and the statewide uniformity of rates paid to foster care families.
