Geisinger Health Plan Names Youso Chief Executive Officer
Danville-based insurer Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) has named Steven R. Youso its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective Aug. 4. He will succeed Dr. Duane E. Davis. Davis announced his retirement earlier this year but will continue in a consulting role with xG Health Solutions. Youso also will serve as CEO of Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Co. and Geisinger Quality Options Inc. and as executive vice president of insurance operations for Geisinger Health System.
Started in 1985, GHPÂ serves about 471,000 members in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maine, New Jersey and West Virginia.
