UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Institute Chief Executive Officer Resigns
Claudia Roth, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC, is stepping down effective June 17, UPMC spokesman Paul Wood said on Wednesday. Roth, who began her career 29 years ago as a research assistant at Western Psych, is leaving because of health reasons, officials said. She has been president of Western Psych for 10 years. Christopher Gessner, president of Children's Hospital, will become president of Western Psych and lead both organizations, officials said.
