Michigan 2012 Autism Spectrum Disorders State Plan: Findings & Recommendations

As of February 2013, the Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH), Department of Human Services (DHS), Department of Education (DoE), and Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs had started working collaboratively with the Michigan Autism Council to address the plan recommendations for improving services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the lifespan. The Michigan ASD State Plan was created by development and advisory committees, led by Amy Matthews, Ph. D., of Grand Valley State University. The committees were comprised of 51 individuals representing state agencies and stakeholders.
