Nebraska’s Response To Substance Abusing Parents In Child Welfare: A Review of Cases That Opened In 2009

In March 2013, the Nebraska Court Improvement Project in conjunction with the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW) released a summary report of their findings regarding families with substance use disorders who are involved with the child welfare and judicial systems. The report provides a summary of findings from the Nebraska study, an overview of the cases reviewed from the past, and further statistical analysis regarding substance abuse and treatment recommendations.
