Transatlantic eHealth/health IT Cooperation Roadmap

In March 2013, the European Commission released a report discussing how the United States and the European Union are continuing to improve upon their use of eHealth (Europe) and Health IT (U.S) in health delivery services, including disease prevention and health promotion. The Transatlantic Economic Council has come before the the European Commission and the U.S. in order to promote interoperability of health information and communication technology. This paper highlights action plans to be implemented in the following areas: eHealth/Health IT Interoperability, and eHealth/Health IT Workforce Development.
