California Assembly Bill (AB) 975 of 2013 was introduced by California Assembly Members Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) and Rob Bonta (D-Oakland) to create a standard statewide definition of charity care for private non-profit health care facilities in California, and increase the level of charity care that must be provided for a health care facility to retain tax-exempt status.
