NJ FamilyCare Qualified Income Trust Overview
On December 1, 2014, the New Jersey Medicaid program launched a new approach to establishing financial eligibility for Medicaid managed long-term services and supports for medically needy individuals requiring nursing facility level of care. The state is implementing Qualified Income Trusts (QIT), and eliminating its previous Medically Needy program, which only covered nursing home care.
