Physician Motivations for Adoption of Electronic Health Records
The authors sought to describe the characteristics of physicians along the EHR adoption spectrum and for each stage on the spectrum, the impact of motivators for EHR adoption. The authors reviewed physician responses to the 2011-2013 Physician Workflow Surveys conducted as supplements to the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS). The Physician Workflow Survey examines attitudes and experiences with EHRs among a longitudinal cohort survey of physicians among a sub-sample eligible for the 2011 NAMCS.
