New York OMIG Audit Protocol –OPWDD Residential Habilitation

The New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) released new guidelines for audit protocols for developmental disability support services in preparation for provider organization audits expected to generate $40 million in recoveries during state fiscal year 2013-2014. The audit recoveries are a budget provision for the New York Office of Persons With Disabilities (OPWDD). Between March 29 and May 15, 2013, OMIG has released audit protocols for four OPWDD programs—Day Treatment was released on March 29, Day Habilitation and Residential Habilitation were both released on May 2, and Service Coordination was released . . .
