The 2013 employment statistics were reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. As of March 2013, there were 28.9 million working age adults with disabilities, representing 13.3% of the American workforce. A small percentage of people with and without disabilities continue to work after age 65. In 2013, the unemployment rate among individuals with disabilities age 16 and older was 12.9%.
