The General Assembly of Colorado enacted Senate Bill 13-266 on May 16, 2013, issuing an RFP from the State Department in search of a contractor to create a Coordinated Behavioral Health Crisis Response System for communities throughout the state, and making an appropriation of $19,792,028 and 0.9 FTE to behavioral health services for the implementation of the act. The RFP process will give priority to entities that have demonstrated partnerships with Colorado-based resources and meet a number of principles outlined by the bill.
