New York Office Of Mental Health Regional Centers Of Excellence Plan

July 10, 2013
By 2016, the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) plans to deemphasize its use of long-term inpatient treatment and strengthen community recovery systems of care. The plan calls for consolidating 24 hospitals that provide long-term inpatient psychiatric care to create a network of 15 Regional Centers of Excellence (RCE).
