OMH Regional Centers of Excellence Plan

July 11, 2013
In July 2013, the New York State Office of Mental Health released its plan to establish 15 Regional Centers of Excellence (RCE) across the state by 2017. RCEs will be regionally-based networks of inpatient and community-based behavioral health services, each with a specialized inpatient hospital program located at its center with geographically dispersed community service "hubs" overseeing state-operated community-based services throughout the region. Information is included on the current New York State-operated mental health system; the Regional Centers of Excellence Listening Tour presentation; and regional plans.
